1851 Census

After ten more years the family had shrunk. John Jnr and family had gone to Australia and Capt John’s widow Jane was now the Head of the Household. Kelly’s directory of 1856 shows Mrs Jane Trenear as a shopkeeper in Fore Street. Still working at 67

John Harvey by now had moved with his family into Bosavern Row. His sister Christiana married John Eddy Wearne aged 23, the son of Richard Wearne on 15 Jan 1842 but I haven’t found Celia.

Peter seems to have died and a new, older sister has appeared. I haven’t been able to find her in the previous census.
